"Bobby Welch"
Bobby learned to play the banjo as a teenager. Later puttting his music career on hold he went to work on a pit crew for the Johnson Family on the Nascar circuit. His return to the music scene began as a bass player for a country rock band, but his love of the banjo soon brought him back to bluegrass music. Bobby won the Snuffy Jenkins Banjo Contest in the early 1990’s. He became a member of the Carolina Rebels in 1994. His straight ahead vocal style reminds one of James King.
Bobby resides in GA with his wife Candy and has one daughter and two sons.
